Could this Maliki issue be smoke??I haven’t heard anything mentioned about the possibility that this whole “no confidence vote” thing could possibly be an elaborate smoke screen. We’ve heard that the necessary steps to carry out this RV are in place and completed and we are simply waiting for the PTB to give the OK to activate the Iraqi Dinar.Now suppose this Maliki issue is an elaborate scheme to distract and throw everyone off track with the hope that people will relax and not be looking for this every minute of the day. This could simply be the”timing ” everyone has been referring to.
It would be a great idea since we Dinarians seem to not understand the concept of patience and are only thinking of “how much more I can get, and that I can be first in line” this is obvious when I hear people asking questions about banking policies to gurus who aren’t in the banking business and for what?

It’s been explained a million times, “we have to wait for the RV to happen before we can answer that question” everything is hearsay at this point, but they ask anyway….the other misunderstanding is the idea “that who is stopping this from happening”, It’s been answered a million times also. Iraq surpasses Iran in oil exports and reserves

17/05/2012 13:41 ERBIL, May 17 (AKnews) - Iraq has overtaken Iran in its volume of oil exports and reserves, said an oil and energy committee member in the Iraqi House of Representatives.

Bayazi Hassan told AKnews: "Iraq is not only surpassing Iran in the size of oil exports, [but] the country's oil reserves are more than Iran."

According to a PetroLogistics report in March 2012, Iran exported 1.9bn barrels per day, which was less than Iraq.

Iraq's oil reserves are estimated to be 143bn barrels of oil, while Iran has some 138bn barrels.

Hassan said Iran used to occupy second place in volume of exports after Saudi Arabia, but economic sanctions imposed by the European Union and the US led to a decline in numbers.

British oil and gas company Afren has released details of a "transformational" oil discovery in the Kurdistan Region, which has helped the company's shares rise more than 10 percent.

Afren confirmed the significant discovery in Simrit oil field within the Ain Sifni license area and indicated “strong hydrocarbon shows”. The area is believed to be a large reservoir of light oil in the north Iraqi block.

The find represents the second exploration success for Afren this year, reported the Financial Times.

Afren chief executive Osman Shahenshah said: “The scale of the oil column that has been intersected suggests that the Simrit structure and surrounding prospects elsewhere on the Ain Sifni PSC [license] have the potential to be transformational for Afren.”

Simrit was previously estimated to contain up to 917m barrels of oil. Afren has a 20-percent stake in the field and a 60-percent stake in the neighboring Barda Rash license area.

The political crisis caused by a delay not to adopt the law of oil and gas

According to a member of the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary Awad al-Awadi, that the law of oil from the important laws will be the first of the laws that Parliament will work on the legislation after the legislative recess, pointing out that the crisis facing the country is the reason for the delay in approval

He said Al-Awadi told the independent press (Iba) The law of oil and gas of the most important laws after the law of the Federal Court, and the crisis situation because of the oil and gas between the center and the region necessitates the need for legislation as soon as possible, so the House of Representatives Egypt on the legislation after the holiday, the current legislative.

He added that his committee developed an action plan for a real study and discussion of this law, asserting a claim to the Energy Commission, the parliamentary legislation of this law and not to delay too much.

He pointed out that the Committee stresses the need for legislation is a technical professional is far from the contentions and political bargaining, the fact that oil is a source of Iraq and to the people and not for party or a component, so it has to be the enactment of a strong non-negotiable, and vocabulary is not universal, and it must be a comprehensive law for each provinces and oil wealth, not only certain provinces.

And al-Awadi, the parliamentary energy commission is waiting to resolve the current crisis in order to submit the draft law of oil and gas for discussion at the meetings of the Council and then voting on it.
